Brandon's SEO story
I really enjoy how much SEO is like a never-ending game of whack-a-mole. There's never a shortage of new challenges. Search engine algorithms change frequently.
I started learning about SEO while working at one of the oldest paywalled tech communities on the internet. Over my 10 years there, I gained invaluable insights into both best practices and common pitfalls. I carried that knowledge into future roles, continually expanding my expertise. Throughout my career, I’ve rebuilt websites, conducted audits, enhanced technical SEO, developed content strategies, monitored experiments, and reported on progress.
At its core, SEO is about humans structuring data for robots who structure data for humans. Search engines are a way to improve access to information and hold a mirror up to humanity. Everyone has access to a world of information in their pockets, but they kind of take it for granted how it got there. I appreciate what it does for us all.
